WHY?
Why oh why did I have to make a site about this anti-social jerk huh? Well, since a shrine isn't a shrine without a "why" section, here it is. I just flat out like him!! That is all! OK, not really.

But first things first, although I went and created a site about him, and I'm a fangirl, I'm not the rabid obsessed type, so don't classify me as one either. I don't exactly see me going to the chapel with my TV to arrange a marriage. Nor does he jump out of said TV and says "I love you", nor do I write self-insertion fiction with mary-sues in it. I just like him, and I've created this to collect information and share it. That is all.

I must admit, I have a weakness for arrogant, "evil" pretty-boys in games and anime/manga. The misunderstood-villian type is my favourite type of character. Kuja from Final Fantasy IX would be a great example. However, Albel it's not a villain, since he even joins your party! But, he's still a bad boy, and admit it, bad boys do have some sort of charm. However, it's mostly his appearance that has drawn me to him first, and not just his design (which is also very unique, and he's pretty may I add), but also the arrogant air around him. His pose, the way he carries himself and the way he talks, he's definitely an arrogant bastard, and a pretty one at that! But, when the game progressed I started to like this character more and more, and grew to be one of my favourite game-characters of all time! There seems to be more then meets the eye, as the crimson scourge-scene proves, though Albel would never admit it ;) he's, in fact, a very complex character which is of course interesting to discuss. Plus I couldn't help myself then to sympathize with him after we heard what happened in his past. That, and him being so pretty-looking has probably got me to like him a lot. And he's super-handy to use in battle as well!

And one day I got the idea to make a character shrine. And since at the moment, Albel is my favourite character, and because I haven't seen any shrines about him, I decided to make one myself.
