This cute little flan appears in the Creation Go! manga. It's a bonus-chapter in the volumes of the Star Ocean 3 manga. I'm not sure in which volume it appears.
Anyway, it starts when Sophia is doing some experimenting in the creation factory. She accidantly invents a very cute homonculus of Fayt by using his hair. Fayt thinks that they should try making Albel cute, so he steals some hair and lets Sophia make an Albel homonculus. But instead of a cute little Albel, a little flan is born (screaming "maggots! maggots!")! Both homonculus have matching personalities to the originals. Homonculus Fayt gets a cookie and shares it with homonculus Albel, who destroys the cookie. Homonculus Fayt gets pissed, and both homonculus' get into a fight. However, because Sophia used the hair of the orignal Albel and Fayt, they are getting all the damage!

Perhaps a funny side fact, but they also refer to the flan in the game. At the arena in Gemity, while doing the S single battle with Albel, the comentator says "The Pudding Treat with Tentacles!".
